Biography:

Sheehan Kane is the data collection manager for the Radicalization and Disengagement (RaD) research portfolio at START, overseeing a suite of datasets on the perpetrators of ideologically-motivated violence in the United States. Prior to joining the RaD team, she was the Perpetrator Identification manager for START's Global Terrorism Database (GTD). She holds an M.A. in Middle East Studies from the American University in Cairo and a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from Elon University. Before joining START, Sheehan lived in Cairo, Egypt, where she studied Arabic and pursued her Master’s degree.
