START's minor in Global Terrorism Studies, a cross-disciplinary program housed in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the University of Maryland, is designed to train the next generation of terrorism analysts, including students who plan to pursue graduate study related to terrorism. The program is part of the University of Maryland’s Global Studies Program, alongside the minors in International Development and Conflict Management, Global Poverty, and Global Engineering Leadership.
START accepts applications to the program from University of Maryland undergraduates twice per calendar year for the following academic year cohort. Students from all colleges and majors may apply.
We will be offering a Virtual information session this fall on October 30, 2024 at 6:00 PM ET.
The info session will be led by START’s Director of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, Dr. Thomas Guarrieri, and START's Educational Engagement Specialist, Kayla Hare, who will discuss how the Global Terrorism Studies Minor Program currently works, what students have to gain from their experience in the program, application requirements, and any other questions attendees may have.
