Each year the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) offers a $5,000 dissertation fellowship for PhD students and a $5,000 post-doctoral research fellowship for qualified researchers who have earned their PhD's no later than 2004. Applicants' research must be related to the study of the human causes and consequences of terrorism.
