**New** Update on START's Graduate Certificate Program

Graduate Certificate in Terrorism Studies START is now offering a fully online Graduate Certificate in Terrorism Studies. Application information is now available through the University of Maryland's Graduate School's Advanced Special Student program. Details on this Graduate Certificate are available via the START website, and those interested in enrolling in the program can apply online. The first course in the 4-course certificate program will launch in March 2010.

Eligible Applicants Eligible applicants for the program must have earned a 4-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or an equivalent degree at a foreign university. A 3.0 GPA is preferred, but experience may substitute. GRE scores are not required.

Online Information Sessions START has scheduled two online information sessions to be held at http://startcenter.webex.com/startcenter on Friday, January 8, 2010 12:00 p.m. EST and Wednesday, January 12, 2010 4:30 p.m. EST.

To register for an online Information Session, go to http://startcenter.webex.com/startcenter.

  • On the left sidebar, click "Browse Meetings." A calendar function will appear on the main screen. Click on the "Monthly" tab. Dates when Information Sessions are available will have small icons that look like clocks. Click the date that works best in your schedule. On the next page, click "Register" and complete the information on the following page. When your registration has been accepted, you will receive an email with information on how to log in to the Information Session.
