On April 10, START hosted The National Capital Region Threat Intelligence Consortium (NTIC) Public Safety Center. START Executive Director Amy Pate kicked off the visit by giving an overview of START, its research portfolios and its datasets, and then introduced the group to START teams conducting research related to risk communication and resilience, global terrorism, radicalization, unconventional weapons, geographic information systems, political instability and simulations.
