Last month, Howard University Professor of Physics and Astronomy Dr. Prabhakar Misra earned an Excellence in Research Productivity Award from the Howard University College of Arts and Sciences for his work with their Natural Science Division.
Dr. Misra is a START research affiliate who has worked on algorithm development for START’s Global Terrorism Database, Profiles of Incidents Involving CBRN Use by Non-state Actors (POICN) Database, and Profiles of Individual Radicalization in the United State (PIRUS) Database. In addition to his work with Howard University and START, Dr. Misra has also performed research for NASA, studying the development of a spectral library and databases of organic molecules for the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) mission.
This year marked the 1st Annual COAS Faculty and Staff Award Ceremony at Howard University.
