Last week, Nawar Shora gave a lecture titled "Countering Violent Extremism through Cultural Demystification" at START headquarters. Shora’s presentation gave attendees an inside look of his book, “The Arab American Handbook: A Guide to the Arab, Arab-American & Muslim Worlds.” During the lecture, students were encouraged to participate in an interactive discussion in which they talked about addressing and probing individual perceptions about communities targeted for radicalization to violence.
