William Braniff: Al Qaeda's Jihadism - ISIL's Jihadism: The Making and Remaking of a Modern Ideology

On February 4, 2015, START Executive Director William Braniff will address the trustees of the Baltimore Council on Foreign Affairs. 

The event will take place at the World Trade Center in Baltimore at 6:00 p.m. and will be following by a reception. Tickets are  $25 for non-members, $20 for member guests and free for members.

Braniff's talk will focus on how the problem of Islamist Extremist Jihadism has evolved over the years, and asses the possibilities for countering and responding to such ideologies. Braniff has studied almost every facet of global Jihadism and has written a book on Terrorism and Political Islam. He has been interviewed widely in the media, has consulted at the major federal institutions concerned with terrorism, and has testified before Congress.
