On Thursday, March 24 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, START Research Transition Manager Sarah Fishering will give a remote demonstration on the Terrorism and Extremist Violence in the United States (TEVUS) database. The event will be hosted via GoTo Meeting. Interested participants should fill out the event's RSVP form and will be sent login instructions via e-mail before the event takes place.

Having graduated from King’s College London in the United Kingdom in 2006, Sarah Fishering took her first position in the field of higher education student support in the Registrar’s office at the School of Pharmacy in London. Setting her on an unexpected path that would lead to a much loved career in student development and activities. In early 2008 Sarah moved to San Antonio, Texas and later started a position in the Student Life Office at St. Mary’s University.  From there Sarah moved on to a position in Student Development for the Biology Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio.  In 2010 Sarah joined START at the University of Maryland as the Education coordinator, working with the Education Director on our Global Terrorism Minor and Graduate Certificate in Terrorism Analysis as well as a range of START’s other education programs. In 2012 she moved into her current position of Research Transition Manager, shifting her focus to START’s internship program and working with the Communications and Education team on transition activities and events.
