IFTRIP LIVESTREAM 2020: Defining Terrorism

Thursday, October 15, 2020

On October 13, 14 and 15, the International Forum of Terrorism Risk (Re)Insurance Pools (IFTRIP) will host its annual conference online this year, with the focus being on “Defining Terrorism.” This is not a START event. Register at this link.

Across three days, IFTRIP LIVESTREAM will bring panels and presentations to life on a virtual stage with an impressive array of high profile figures discussing six pivotal themes in in the field of counter terrorism, security, risk and (re)insurance. The virtual Conference brings together sovereign-backed terrorism reinsurance pools, industry experts and the wider counter terrorism community, and is intended for those either working in, or advising on terrorism (re) insurance and risk.

The Conference is designed to facilitate conversations around the ‘big questions’ in the terrorism risk industry. IFTRIP coordinates and contributes to international and cross-sectoral working groups on a variety of topical issues, from cyber terrorism to the definition of terrorism. The only forum of its kind in the world, IFTRIP’s goal is to broaden global resilience whilst helping combat potential economic loss resulting from terrorism by sharing expertise and experience. The Conference itself is designed to enable delegates to improve their knowledge and connect with the right people.

Each day you will be able to tune into two live panel discussions with an opportunity for Q&A. This will be accompanied by a wide variety of on-demand interviews, presentations, supporting resources and downloads. State of the art virtual networking events will provide ample opportunities for a number of group and one-to-one chats with other members of the international terrorism reinsurance industry. Furthermore, IFTRIP LIVESTREAM will be free to attend, and by eliminating the need to travel, should attract a broader audience.
