START will host the first of two information sessions about applying for UMD's minor program in Global Terrorism on Monday, Nov. 17, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in Key Hall, room 0120. Another information session will be offered Friday, Dec. 5, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in Key Hall, room 0124.
Currently recruiting its ninth cohort, the Global Terrorism minor is a cross-disciplinary program housed by the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS) at the University of Maryland. Students in the minor program learn about terrorism behaviors and responses to terrorism through the required curriculum, in addition to completing an internship or research project in the field of terrorism studies. The 12-credit program is open to undergraduate students with a strong academic record (3.0 GPA preferred) and at least 30 academic credits under their belt.
