On Wednesday, March 25 at 11 a.m. at START headquarters, Gary LaFree will give an enrichment session on "Putting Terrorism in Context: Lessons from the Global Terrorism Database", a new book he co-authored along with Laura Dugan and Erin Miller.

The Global Terrorism Database is an open-source database that lists information from more than 125,000 terrorist attacks that occurred around the world between 1970 and 2013. Gary LaFree serves as Principle Investigator of the GTD team, Laura Dugan as Co-Principle Investigator and Erin Miller as Program Manager. The book explores terrorism trends and discusses how prominent, or "black swan" terrorism events have shaped the way we view global terror.

The event will run for one hour and is free and open to the public, but RSVP's are appreciated.
