Incident Summary:
11/28/2020: Assailants attacked Afghan National Army (ANA) checkpoints in Zhari district, Kandahar, Afghanistan. This was one of two coordinated attacks in Kandahar on the same day. At least 40 assailants were killed and 38 others were injured across both clashes. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Taliban.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
