Incident Summary:
11/08/2020: Assailants abducted Nabil Habashi Salamah, a Coptic Christian, in Ibni Baitak, Beir al-Abd, North Sinai, Egypt. Salamah was killed on February 20, 2021. The Sinai Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident in a video released on April 17, 2021 and stated that Salamah was targeted for cooperating with Egyptian security forces.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
