10/12/2020: Assailants set fire to forests in Hatay, Turkey. At least 10 people were injured as the fire spread damaging a large amount of area and forcing mass evacuations before it was put out 33 hours later. The Children of the Fire Initiative claimed responsibility for the incident, but sources doubted the veracity of this claim. Sources also attributed the incident to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK); though the group denies involvement.
