Incident Summary:

09/17/2020: An explosive device detonated and assailants opened fire on an Iraqi Volunteer Forces convoy responding to an attack in Sami al-Asi, Kirkuk. Iraq. At least four soldiers were killed in the attack. This was one of two related attacks targeting this village on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
