Incident Summary:

09/07/2020: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle and assailants fired mortars targeting Somali and United States military forces in Janaay Cabdalla, Lower Juba, Somalia. At least one assailant and four Somali soldiers were killed and one US soldier was injured in the attack. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the United States forces had indiscriminately targeted civilians with drone strikes in Somalia and they wanted to expel the U.S. forces.
