Incident Summary:

08/28/2020: Assailants attacked an army convoy along Kamango- Mbau Road in Mbau, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least 10 assailants were killed and six soldiers were injured in the ensuing clash. This was one of two incidents carried out by the same group of assailants in and around Mbau on the same day. The Central Africa Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack. Sources also attributed the attack to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
