08/13/2020: Assailants abducted Bilal Abdul Kareem, a United States journalist, and his driver in Atma, Idlib, Syria. Kareem was released sometime on February 17, 2021. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
