07/13/2020: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near the convoy of army chief General Yusuf Rage in Hodan, Mogadishu, Somalia. General Rage was unhurt and one civilian was killed in the blast. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was a "martyrdom operation" targeting a military convoy escorting "senior apostate commanders."
