06/22/2020: Assailants abducted and tortured a British relief worker, Tauqir Sharif, in Atmeh, Idlib, Syria. Sharif was released on or before July 15, 2020 after providing "bail" in the form of a guarantor's presence prior to a trial. Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham claimed responsibility for the incident and said Sharif was "detained on charges of funding projects that sow division."
