06/15/2020: Assailants abducted and tortured a civilian in Mamfe, South-West, Cameroon. The victim was released a short time later. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to separatists, noting that the attack was related to extortion demands and was also an effort to get the victim to rejoin the separatists after leaving the movement in 2018.
