Incident Summary:
06/00/2020: Sometime between June 7, 2020 and June 22, 2020, assailants attacked Natugo, Macomia district, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. This was one of six incidents that occurred over a 15 day period. At least 27 people were abducted across all six attacks and six victims were killed and their bodies were discovered near Ingoane. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Muslim extremists.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
