Incident Summary:

06/08/2020: Assailants killed Edison Leon Perez, the Community Action Board head for San Juan Bosco in San Juan Bosco, San Miguel, Putumayo, Colombia. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the La Mafia faction of Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) dissidents and stated it was in retaliation for Perez calling on the government to address the gang's lockdown orders during COVID-19.
