05/15/2020: An explosive device detonated and assailants opened fire on Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Maita, Saladin, Iraq. At least three PMF fighters were killed and two others were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
