05/07/2020: Assailants shot and killed Abdiwali Olad Gatamow, a former player for Somalia's national soccer team, in Afgoye, Lower Shebelle, Somalia. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack and stated that Abdiweli Olad Gatamow was an official of "Somalia's apostate group" and was targeted for being "the head of the Afgoye district football federation."
