Incident Summary:

05/07/2020: An explosive device detonated targeting the vehicle of General Said Ahmad Babazai, the Khost police chief, in Seway, Khost, Afghanistan. Three people, including General Babazai, his bodyguard and secretary, were killed and another police officer was injured in the blast. This was one of two related attacks in the area on this date. Sources noted that Babazai was responding to an earlier attack in Zain Khel when the device detonated. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
