Incident Summary:

04/07/2020: Assailants attacked a militia checkpoint in Dara-i-Sufi Bala district, Samangan, Afghanistan. TThis was one of two related incidents targeting checkpoints in villages within this district on this date. At least 17 people, including 15 assailants and two militia members, were killed and 27 others, including 22 assailants and five militia members, were injured in the ensuing clashes. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Taliban.
