03/21/2020: An assailant carrying an explosive device opened fire on security forces after being stopped in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. The assailant was killed in the ensuing clash, and the explosive device was defused. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Caucasus Province of the Islamic State.
