Incident Summary:

03/19/2020: Assailants abducted Datu Bernandino Astudillo from his residence in Magroyong, Surigao del Sur, Philippines. Astudillo, the Magroyong tribal chief, was killed shortly after the kidnapping. This was one of two coordinated incidents in the village on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Guerrilla Front 30 of the New People's Army (NPA).
