Incident Summary:
02/24/2020: An explosives-laden motorcycle detonated near a truck transporting Chetsadakorn Sichan along Ban Not-Saba Yoi Road in Ban Not, Songkhla, Thailand. Assailants then opened fire on the truck following the blast. Sichan, the Saba Yoi district assistant chief, and seven other people were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
