02/10/2020: Assailants opened fire on a gendarmerie post in Tanwalbougou, Est, Burkina Faso. At least nine assailants and two civilians were killed and 14 civilians were killed in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Muslim extremists.
