Incident Summary:

02/07/2020: Assailants attacked civilians in Beni, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least eight people were killed by assailants slitting their throats and 20 other people were reported missing in the incident. At least 12 of the missing people were found dead on February 9, 2020. The whereabouts of the remaining hostages is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
