Incident Summary:

02/00/2020: Sometime between January 26, 2020 and February 9, 2020, assailants abducted an unknown number of election candidates over the prior two weeks in South-West, Cameroon. This was one of two similar attacks in which 120 candidates were abducted over the two week period. At least 60 hostages were released while the fate of the remaining victims is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to separatists.
