Incident Summary:

01/02/2020: Assailants attacked civilians in Kwuapa, Michika, Adamawa, Nigeria. This was one of three attacks that occurred on this day. Lawan Andimi, Michika LGA Chair of the Christian Association of Nigeria, was kidnapped, at least 15 assailants were killed, and there were an unknown number of civilian casualties across all three attacks. Lawan Andimi was executed on January 20, 2020. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
