Incident Summary:

01/02/2020: Assailants attacked civilians in Kwuapale, Michika, Adamawa, Nigeria. This was one of three attacks in Michika on this date. Lawan Andimi, Michika LGA Chair of the Christian Association of Nigeria, was kidnapped, at least 15 assailants were killed, and there were an unknown number of civilian casualties across the ensuing clashes. Lawan Andimi was executed on January 20, 2020. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
