12/15/2019: Assailants set fire to the house of Joseph Njang Mbah Ndam, the National Assembly Vice President, in Batibo, North-West, Cameroon. There were no reported casualties in the attack. Separatists claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that they carried out the attack in order to prevent elections in February from occurring in English-speaking areas that they consider part of their territory.
