12/13/2019: Assailants took an unknown number of police officers and civilians hostage near a mosque in Salubanga, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. One police officer was killed and the remaining hostages escaped shortly after the kidnapping. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Mujahidin Indonesia Timur (MIT).
