Incident Summary:

12/12/2019: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle targeting a Saraya al-Salam base in Samarra, Saladin, Iraq. In addition to the assailant, at least four Saraya al-Salam members were killed in the blast. This was one of two related attacks on the checkpoint on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
