Incident Summary:

11/11/2019: Assailants detonated six explosive devices and opened fire on soldiers in Bangon, Pinanag-an, Eastern Samar, Philippines. Six soldiers and one assailant were killed and 20 soldiers and an unknown number of assailants were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the New People’s Army (NPA).
