10/24/2019: Assailants attacked fishermen in Lake Alber, Ituri, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least two fishermen were killed and several others were injured in the attack. Four other fishermen were kidnapped. The outcome of the abduction is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Cooperative for the Development of the Congo (CODECO) militia.
