09/28/2019: Assailants attacked Komsilga, Centre-Nord, Burkina Faso. Eight civilians were killed and one person was abducted while shops and motorcycles were set on fire during the attack. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) carried out the attack.
