Incident Summary:

09/05/2019: Assailants attacked a government checkpoints in Darqad district, Takhar, Afghanistan. At least 16 people, including eight assailants, were killed and 11 other people, including five assailants, were injured in the attack. This was one of two attacks targeting Takhar on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
