09/02/2019: Assailants abducted Abdul Samad Amiri, the head of Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) for Ghor province, in Jalrez district, Wardak, Afghanistan. Amiri was killed and his body was discovered on September 5, 2019. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
