Incident Summary:

08/18/2019: Assailants ambushed a military convoy along the Gamboru-Dikwa road in Borno, Nigeria. At least 33 assailants were killed and four soldiers and an unknown number of assailants were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
