08/10/2019: Assailants attacked a Nigerian military base in Gubio, 80 km from Maiduguri, Borno, Nigeria. At least 14 people, including assailants, soldiers, and civilians, were killed and it is unknown if there were any injuries in the ensuing clash. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the attack.
