08/01/2019: Assailants attacked a checkpoint in Qaraghal, Badghis, Afghanistan. At least 12 people, including five assailants and seven pro-government militia members, were killed and 16 other people, including 12 assailants, were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the incident to the Taliban.
