07/31/2019: Assailants abducted Nathaniel Ayogu, brother of Nigeria's former ambassador, in Igbo-eze North, Enugu, Nigeria. One civilian was killed in the abduction and Ayogu was released on August 2, 2019. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Fulani extremists.
