07/23/2019: Assailants opened fire on residents in Azurij, near Hammam al-Alil, Nineveh, Iraq. At least two people, including Sheikh Ali Khazaal al-Saleh, the Albu Badran tribe leader, and his nephew, were killed and it is unknown whether the assailants sustained any casualties in the assault. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack.
