07/23/2019: Assailants detonated explosive devices and opened fire on a military checkpost in Paka Harang, Pattani, Thailand. Four people, including at least one soldier and one defense volunteer, were killed and two defense volunteers were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
